Investor’s first read is a Game-On Analysis, LLC publication, written by George Brooks and is intended to give readers a daily feel for what to expect in the stock market.
The opinions expressed are based on 52 years of investment experience and on as much fundamental, technical, economic, monetary, seasonal, political, international information available shortly before the market opens.
It seeks to give readers as big a chance as possible to be on the right side of the market, and when possible, to anticipate future turns up or down. It is designed to help both traders and long-term investors.
There is little in this business that I have not written articles about for magazines, advisories, and brokerage firms, however, the bulk of my experience in the investment business has focused on analyzing daily trends and turns in the stock market, what causes, and what sustains them. It has been an obsession with me since the mid-1960s when I gravitated to research from brokerage where, I discovered I was more interested in analyzing than selling.
Even so, I opt to skip the over-used jargon and references to a host of indicators and go right to the point, endeavoring to boil everything down so it can be quickly digested each morning.
In early 2008, I sensed the BIG bear was coming and decided to publish daily, pre-open analyses, with a goal of targeting a bear market bottom which I was able to do in late February and early March 2009. I started “Brooksie’s Daily Stock Market blog” (now Investor’s first read ), posting it here and on EQUITIES Magazine’s web site and later on Equities.com’s web site.
